This is BY FAR THE BEST croissant I’ve ever had in Tasmania! Well done whoever baked this! Delicious perfection!
Fantastic food. Great local produce and gifts. Pre made meals that are delicious and so easy to prepare. And the sticky date pudding is just WOW. Service is so friendly.
Becoming one of my favourite Italian restaurants in Tassie. Warm staff, beautiful food, intimate atmosphere. Can’t wait to return when is Hobart.
Yummy food! Great experience here
Staff so kind
If I could give negative stars I would. The meals we selected were far from the flavoursome and delicious meals that’s were promised. The butter chicken and satay chicken were beyond watery and had zero flavour. And the meat used, well I have no words do describe the chewiness and gristle that was in there. The curry beef was thick and had good flavour but again ruined by cheap cuts of meat. We were so disappointed with everything we didn’t even attempt try the lasagna. The sides that also came were lacklustre, apart from the potato gratin that had around 1000 cloves of garlic in it. Was inedible as well.
Even the desserts were sub par. The tiramisu was just runny cream and kinda coffee flavoured. And the chocolate pudding, no words. It was grainy and quite simply awful to eat.
This was so disappointing considering what is promoted. And trying to support a local business as well as that what we should do in our community. However I am saddened to say I most definitely will not be purchasing anything again.
Purchased dehydrated meals from these guys for the overland track. We had them every night and I know there was food envy going on. The meals were very good. Great store with lots of variety.
Hands down best food store in Launceston. Adore this place.
A great store that you can find things you would never find in any other stores.
The staff are very nice and friendly.
The prices are reasonably good, come and walk in and have your shopping done.
Didn't visit the cafe; only the shop / deli which is ridiculously overpriced in most regards. Prepared meal prices are acceptable however other items seem to have an exorbitant premium applied... caveat emptor.
One may indeed find hard-to-get items but a premium will be paid.
Unlikely to shop here again - Hill Street and other IGA markets will be preferred.
With a fine selection of quality goods and foods, from fresh fruits and vegetables, to home made affordable meals I have started shopping there once a week. It's great to see a business like this supporting such a variety of other local businesses.
I love stopping into the Cafe for a coffee and lunch too. Always a great experience, with friendly staff that obviously enjoy their jobs. I highly recommend Alps & Amici.
